QPR Suicide Prevention Training

The Lincoln County Health Department is offering QPR Training (Question. Persuade. Refer.), an important mental health education course designed to help individuals recognize the warning signs of suicide and respond effectively when someone may be in crisis.

QPR is similar to CPR—but for mental health. This training provides practical, evidence-based tools that empower participants to ask the right questions, offer support, and connect individuals to appropriate help.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to recognize common warning signs of suicide

  • How to question, persuade, and refer someone who may be at risk

  • Common causes of suicidal behavior

  • How to get help for someone in crisis—or for yourself

  • Time: 12:30–2:00 PM

  • Location: Lincoln County Health Department

  • Who Should Attend: Parents, teachers, law enforcement, first responders, and public health workers
