Kentucky WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)
The Kentucky WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) connects WIC participants with fresh, locally grown produce while supporting local farmers. This program helps families enjoy nutritious fruits and vegetables, along with select cooking herbs, to promote healthier eating habits.
How to Use Your KY WIC FMNP App or Card
- Approved Farmers’ Markets Only: Use your benefits at markets displaying “We accept KY WIC FMNP” signs. Grocery stores and roadside stands do not accept FMNP benefits.
- Seasonal Benefits: Each card or app balance is valid for the KY WIC FMNP season from May 1 to October 31.
- Eligible Items: Purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and cooking herbs like basil, chives, cilantro, oregano, thyme, sage, parsley, and garlic. Herbs must be fresh-cut, not dried or potted.
- Ineligible Items: Benefits cannot be used for processed products such as jams, jellies, salsa, breads, meats, eggs, cheese, honey, nuts, or flowers.

To file a program discrimination complaint:
A complainant should complete Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, which can be obtained:
- Online at: USDA Discrimination Complaint Form
- From any USDA office
- By calling (866) 632-9992
- By writing a letter addressed to USDA
The letter must include:
- The complainant’s name, address, and telephone number
- A written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of the alleged civil rights violation
